5 Rewards of Rejection

December 17, 2014 By Eileen Carter-Campos

Let’s face it, who likes rejection? I don’t think anyone does but as you get older, you do get wiser. You get wiser and you realize that “rejection” doesn’t just mean it’s THE END!!! Rejection can also mean it’s the beginning, it’s your re-incarnation, and it can be a huge reward. Here’s why:

You’re growing

Rejection can lead to growth. What you thought you wanted at the moment was not the same as what you needed. Things happen for a reason and maybe you weren’t going to grow from that particular thing your heart was set on. It’s important for us to grow from every experience and become a better person because of it. Rejection definitely facilitates this growth.

Always Reflect

When things happen, we often don’t reflect on why? Rejection may be a time for us to reflect on why this happened and what we need to do differently in order for things to go in a smoother fashion in the future. Take time for yourself and think about what you need to do and where you want to be before moving foward.

A time for greater opportunities

Take all rejections as a moment where something greater is waiting for you. You may not know what it is and when it will take place, but something that is meant for you will come. That something that is waiting to come might be a bigger and better opportunity that may put you where you need to be and where you want to be, you just don’t know it yet!

What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger…

Rejection can feel like a low blow but it can definitely make you stronger. It allows you in that moment to hit a low point, but with strength and perseverance you will rise to the occasion and supersede all your capabilities. You challenge yourself to make greater moves and come out on top of that rejection. In reality, it is an incentive to be STRONGER, GREATER and even more MOTIVATED!!!!

A chance to begin again

When dealing with any sense of rejection, you have to approach it with a positive attitude! Don’t look at it as a dead end road. Instead, look at it as a path with no ending. You get to begin again and correct what you may have done wrong the first time. It’s almost as though you are given a new beginning and you are in charge of the road ahead. Never take rejection as an end to your life or dreams, but more so a road filled with endless possibilities. There is no greater road when your dreams are not dictated to you and you are in charge!
